The Official Website of Adam Bagni

Hello family, friends, and visitors!

I'm still not sure what I want this site to be - for family, a resume-type site, or for fans.  Maybe one day I'll figure that out.   I'm computer-savvy, but not necessarily in regards to website creation.

Anyhow, a bit about myself.  I currently work as a producer at NBC 10, WJAR in Providence/New Bedford, MA.  It's great because I get to cover news, sports, and appear on-air... a hybrid-position of sorts.  I don't mind doing things like picking up a camera, writing for the web, or doing the grunt work behind-the-scenes.

Previously, I was the Sports Director at ABC 32 in Montgomery, AL.  In other words, I was a sports anchor and reporter.  I've was down South from February of 2008 to March of 2011 - big change for a northern kid from the Boston area, who went to school in Philly, but it was a great experience.  In 2010 I won the Judge's Award for Sportscaster of the Year from the Alabama Broadcasters Association, so I know I was doing something right.

I'm sports-obsessed, though not to a fault.  I'm not one of those sports encyclopedias, but I understand the importance and passion of sport. "[Adam] knows current events and sports history, but, perhaps more importantly, displays an acute understanding of the inner processes of sport."  That's one of the best complements ever written about me, at least in a career sense, because it's something I strive for.  That... and being a fair reporter who knows how to write.

On the personal side, family is the most important thing to me.  That's tough when you're in TV, but no one ever makes it in media without the help and crazy support of certain people, and my family are those people.

Thanks for visiting and feel free to send me an email.

One final thing... I firmly believe that succeeding in media takes tenacity, but that doesn't have to come at the cost of class.

Best,
Adam Bagni
